Sowing Seeds

I have a really sweet story to share! A friend's church was given a $10,000 grant for "seed" money. This money was divided between 55 envelopes in varying amounts. Without knowing how much was in each envelope, the adults were encouraged to come up and choose one. They were instructed to pray about how and where God might want them to plant those seeds. As my friend was praying with someone, God put families with young children on her heart. She remembered Off with the Old, On with the New and thought that it would be the perfect gift to give to some of the moms at her church.

She and her husband used the money from their church and some of their own to purchase a pile of books from me on Friday. She told me they were praying that God would put in their path the people He had in mind to receive the books.

I got a message from her this morning that read, "I called. He answered. One precious recipient almost wept when I handed her your book. She said it was a direct answer to her appeal to God THIS MORNING! She explained more and I could see that God has already prepared her heart to lead her children in using this book."

One of my biggest prayers for this project is that God would use it to bless families by drawing them closer to Himself and to one another. It has been beautiful to begin to see those prayers being answered.
